This workshop will be focusing on proper warm-up and cool down for classes. Natsuko will introduce simple exercises to add to everyone's practice.
Natsuko, a PT student who is taking ballet classes at Flux+Flow. Natsuko Oshima is a 3rd year student in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Texas Woman’s University. She is currently completing her final clinical rotation at Ohio State University's Wexner Medical Center, under the performing arts team. Her dream is to combine a newfound passion for physical therapy with her lifelong commitment to ballet, in order to better research the underdeveloped area of ballet-related injury prevention. Before becoming a Student Physical Therapist, Ms. Oshima was a member of many prestigious professional ballet companies across four continents, including Ballet Nacional SODRE (Uruguay) and Opera Națională Română Iași (Romania). Ms. Oshima has also received top awards at national and international dance competitions, including the bronze medal at the 2010 World Ballet Competition. Ms. Oshima is passionate about inspiring a new generation of dancers of all levels, and anyone enthusiastic about injury prevention and healthy living. She continues to teach ballet in various settings, including workshops, private coachings, and intensive in-person and online classes.
