If hands-on adjustments from a teacher during the final resting pose are your favorite part ofa yoga class, this is the class for you! Join Kami Niehoff and Anne Reilly (both licensed massage therapists and certified yoga instructors) for a 2-hour combination restorative yoga and Thai massage class. Thai massage (which refers to a traditional massage style done in Thailand) is characterized by compression of the muscles, joint range of motion, stretching, and thumbing of the sen lines of the body (similar to meridians in Chinese medicine) to relieve tension and allow for freedom of movement in the muscles, joints, and fascia. Thai massage will be incorporated into each of the restorative poses throughout the class.
Class size is limited to 10 people to ensure lots of personal attention and hands-on time.
No previous yoga experience is required for this class, but please be healthy enough to tolerate both broad and specific pressure on your body, and movement of your joints through their normal range of motion.
