Mathilde's workshops emphasize Contemporary Dance technique development and improvisation. The technical aspects focus on floor work and develop awareness of our relationship to the floor in all movement levels. The practice studies organic movement, variations in movement qualities and dynamics in our dance, and their impact on the body. Mathilde's approach to floor work investigates the mechanical processes within the body as a means to discover smooth transitions to and from the floor. These engaging sessions will also focus on developing individuals approach to moving and performing confidently. All phrases and exercises delivered have a variety of alternate moves for different levels and individuals movement styles.
