Modern Dance Technique

Class focusing on accessibility to dancers of varied backgrounds. Students will learn to move in a way that engages the whole body in dramatic physical expression with foundational elements from the pioneers of Modern Dance.

FlowSpace

flowspace offers a supportive and joyful environment for participants to explore their unique abilities and capacities as dancers. Our material is informed by contemporary dance techniques and movement exploration. We’ll dive into basic patterns in contemporary dance with an emphasis on full-bodied expression and dynamic movement. Questions, modifications, and personal ~flair~ are highly encouraged!

This class is aimed at beginners, with or without prior [contemporary] dance experience. Intermediate and advance students are also more than welcome.

Dancing Mindfulness

Dancing Mindfulness is a conscious dance practice that invites organic and individual movement through verbal facilitation. The facilitation will encourage mindful engagement of movement by paying attention to physical sensations and intuition. Practicing movement and mindfulness in this way can help build physical strength and endurance, allow one to that into their creativity, process emotions, and promote interpersonal connection. No prior dance experience necessary.
